ITINERARY:
HANOI – BAT TRANG- HAIPHONG- HALONG BAY (-/L/-)
DAY 1 Pick up at your hotel in Hanoi. Drive to Bat Trang pottery village, the famous village situated approx. 15km outside of Hanoi, surrounded by fertile farmland. Watch the artisans forming, painting and glazing their products, which are then baked for several days in huge kilns. Proceed to Haiphong, the largest seaport in North Vietnam, 102 km east of Hanoi. Lunch at local restaurant. Continue with orientation tour, visit Du Hang Pagoda and Hang Kenh Communal House, both with fine examples of traditional woodcarvings then drive to Halong. Arrival and check in hotel. Overnight in Halong Bay.
HALONG BAY- HANOI (B/L/-)
DAY 2 Discover Halong Bay, listed as a World Heritage Area of outstanding natural beauty. “Dragon descending to the sea“ as it is known in Vietnamese, picturesque Halong Bay has more than 1,000 limestone islets rising from the water, many of them containing beautiful grottoes. A 5-hour boat trip will visit one grotto, then continue to explore more of these wonders of creation. Fresh seafood lunch is prepared and served during the boat cruise. Drive back to Hanoi & drop off at your hotel (accommodation in Hanoi not included).

Our tour prices are inclusive of transfers and tours with English or French speaking guide, accommodation in shared twin rooms with air-condition and private bath room, meals as specified in the program (B=Breakfast, L=Lunch, D=Dinner), entrance fees, boat fees, cyclo fee.
Not included are surcharges for other language guides, surcharges for compulsory gala dinners during festive seasons and peak season surcharges, which will be advised at time of booking.
