ITINERARY:
HO CHI MINH CITY - CAI BE - VINH LONG - CAN THO (-/L/D)
DAY 1 Pick up at hotel. Drive to Cai Be. Take a boat trip from Cai Be to Vinh Long. En route visit a bonsai garden and a fruit orchard. You will have the opportunity to taste the fresh fruit right in the garden. Lunch at a local house or garden restaurant. Disembark at Vinh Long. Our car will pick you up at Vinh Long and drive to Can Tho. Dinner and overnight in Can Tho.
CAN THO - CAI RANG - SOC TRANG - CAN THO (B/L/-)
DAY 2 Boat trip on the Mekong River to visit Cai Rang floating market, you also have the opportunity to stop by an island to watch local villagers producing instant rice noodles (Hu Tiu), building boats and husk rice. Proceed to Soc Trang by land with lunch en route. Visit Clay Pagoda and Khmer Museum. Take a boat ride to Bang Lang stork sanctuary in Thot Not, which offers an opportunity to watch local life along the canals (please note, that during the dry season water levels are too low and the stork sanctuary can only be reached by motorbike taxi). Drive to Can Tho for dinner and overnight.
CAN THO - LONG XUYEN - CHAU DOC (B/L/D)
DAY 3 Depart Can Tho for Chau Doc, arrival and check-in at your hotel. Lunch at hotel. In the afternoon, take a boat trip to Phum Soai, a Champa Village. Visit a Cham mosque, then walk to visit another Cham Village, locally referred to a Swiss Villlage. The name is contributed to the Swiss donation in building stilt houses to help the local people to cope with the flood during the rainy season. Continue walking to visit a Cham village with traditional houses and get in close contact with the local people. You may stop by a local house to see Cham women weaving. Drive back to Chau Doc for dinner and overnight.
CHAU DOC - PHNOM PENH (B/-/-)
DAY 4 Early breakfast, then board the Victoria speed boat to Phnom Penh at 07:00 hrs (seat-in-coach service, minimum 4 persons, available for guests staying at Victoria hotel - subject to availability). Arrival in Phnom Penh is at about 13:30hrs (accommodation and transfer in Phnom Penh not included).
Optional road transfer to Tinh Bien Border Gate:
In case that the Victoria Boat does not operate or is fully booked, clients will be transferred to Tinh Bien Border Gate (about 20 km from Chau Doc) for immigration & customs clearance. AFT&C Cambodia will provide pick-up and transfer by road to Phnom Penh.
(please note, that Visa upon arrival for Cambodia at Tinh Bien Border Gate is not available! Cambodian visa must be applied & stamped before arrival at a Cambodian Consulate or Embassy)
OR RETURN TO HO CHI MINH CITY (VLCC-B)
CHAU DOC - HO CHI MINH CITY (B/L/-)
DAY 4 After breakfast, full-day drive back with lunch en route. Transfer to hotel in Ho Chi Minh City (accommodation in Ho Chi Minh City not included).

Our tour prices are inclusive of transfers and tours with English or French speaking guide, accommodation in shared twin rooms with air-condition and private bath room, meals as specified in the program (B=Breakfast, L=Lunch, D=Dinner), entrance fees, boat fees, seat-in-coach speed boat ticket Chau Doc to Phnom Penh for option 1 only (no Asia First Travel guide on the boat-transfer to Phnom Penh).
Not included are surcharges for German speaking guide, compulsory gala dinners during festive seasons, compulsory meals for group and peak season surcharges, which will be advised at time of booking.
NOTE: The Asia First Travel guide will not accompany guests on the speed-boat to Phnom Penh. Small deviations in the tour program are sometimes necessary, depending on weather, road conditions, flight schedules and room availability.
